Cosy, warm and welcoming A review of Bryghia Hotel
We have just spent four delightful days in Bruges at the Bryghia Hotel, travelling Eurostar via Brussels. The additional cost from Brussels to Bruges is included in the train fare. We took a taxi from the station but later discovered it is quite easy to go by bus to the centre of town, the Bryghia is a few minutes walk away from the Market Square. The hotel is tucked away beside a canal in a quiet part of town, cosy, warm, clean and welcoming. Room safe, tea and coffee making facilities all included plus a minibar. Breakfast includes excellent choice of cereals, bread, rolls, croissants, ham, cheese, jams and fresh fruit. You can boil your own egg and time it by a huge rotating clock hanging from the ceiling and seen from every table. Eggs take about five minutes, depending of course on how you like them! Eating out can be expensive so choose carefully. Cafeteria in Hema store ideal for morning coffee or lunch. Canal boat trip and yellow minibus town tour both highly recommended. Remember your camera and comfortable shoes - you will walk miles. Beware bicycles - they are everywhere, have priority and go both ways on a one way street!
