Consistently Disappointing A review of The Mountain Top Inn & Resort
We arrived to the inn late due to a long drive. It was around 11pm when we were shown to our room by a pleasant woman. The room was nothing like what we were expecting based on reviews and the inn's website. There were multiple, curious and large stains all over the rooms wall to wall carpet. There was hair in the tub and in the supposedly fresh sheeted bed. The toilet made a horrible noise after flushing, the vent didn't work in the bathroom, a lightbulb was out and there was a constant banging noise in the hallway. The person who showed us to our room offered to change the sheets and we accepted, but there was nothing else that could be done about the over all filth factor. We departed early the next day, negotiating a rate (there was a ridiculous resort fee even though resort features also cost money to enjoy) and luckily being released of the cancellation penalty. We relocated to the Equinox and were much happier as a result. The one and only thing this inn has going for it is the amazing panoramic view from the enormous windows facing the foliage. Breathtaking, but not enough to balance out the condition of the inn.
