Consistent with Excellence A review of Four Seasons Resort, Palm Beach

I found the hotel in Feb. 2003 to be quite nice. As a perfectionist, who travels widely, I can find fault with anything but am also impressed with the positive. The hotel is right on the beach. I mean the wind blows so hard you need a wrap if eating at the outdoor cafe. The service is quite good; the decor is luxurious; the rooms are spacious--I found the same to be the case in the Four Seasons in London. I had heard that the reason why this property does not show the hotel, is due to its bland exterior. Not so, it is attractive from the outside. The resort is on the small side but that makes it more accessible. The beach is ok but it is hard to walk on the beach due to the softness of the sand yet for those who don't want to walk up or down and just sit and swim, it is fine.I would return here and the location is much better than the Ritz-Carlton and the property is not as intimidating or imposing as the Breakers. Yes the turndown service was a little chaotic for me but all in all, this is a hotel that one can enjoy and return to.PNK
