Comfortable and Convenient A review of Colorado Springs Marriott
The Wyndham exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was friendly and the service was great.
It was worth it to book through Wyndham's web site and sign up for the "ByRequest" membership (free). Because of the "ByRequest" membership upon arrival, we found free drinks and snacks in the room. It also allowed us free high speed internet access from the comfortable desk within the room. I had some work to catch up on and it felt more comfortable than my desk at work!
We got an AAA rate of $89 a night and breakfast vouchers for every day of our stay. We overheard the retail rate of the breakfast buffet was $12.95 a person so we really felt like our room rate was a bargain! The buffet had made to order omelets, a small waffle bar and a variety of your other, usual breakfast goodies.
The hotel had nice amenities. The indoor pool was a little smaller than I expected and the outdoor pool didn't look kept but for this time of year, I guess that is to be expected. There is a hot tub located next to the pool. The exercise room was a nice size and had modern machines as well as free weights. There was even a guest laundry room with pay machines!
The only thing that was awkward about this hotel is that the weekend we arrived there were multiple weddings going on and instead of being contained in the conference rooms, they spilled out into the hotel lobby. So if you were coming down from your room to go out to your car, you felt like you were crashing someone's wedding.
Overall, we liked this hotel and would stay with Wyndham again. I'd call this hotel either a high end 3 star hotel or a low end 4 star hotel without being snobby.
