Clean, quiet and comfy A review of Days Inn JFK Airport
Needed a hotel that was inexpensive, close to nyc and cheap. Decided on the Days Inn after reading other reviews. Arrived on a Friday afternoon. The hotel is small, sharing it's property with 2 other hotels.. the Holiday inn Express and another. This makes it hard to find because its hidden behind the Holiday Inn. Also, directions there are horrible, and if you miss a turn it will take you forever to get back on track.
So we checked in and the elevator was broken. Didn't mind though. Our hotel room was small but very clean. Clean sheets, clean bathroom. Everything worked. We had a car and drove into the city after getting lost. The surrounding area has nothing.. but thats expected from a airport hotel. We arrived back after midnight and there was no parking in the very very small parking lot. Even the surrounding lots were full..The street in front of the Days Inn had cars parked on either side. There were NO SIGNS, so we parked against the fence. In the morning we awoke to a $115 ticket!!! With no reason stated!!!! Every single car that was not in the lot was ticketed. So be careful if you have a car.
Continental breakfast in the morning was good...muffins, cereal, bagels, juice. After requesting a late check out and having it okayed at the front desk, we had cleaning ladies knock on our door three times.
Overall it was a clean, friendly hotel. If you are looking to spend about $100 a night and want something clean, quite and comfy its perfect.
