Chi-Chi locale, Good service A review of Sofitel Brussels Le Louise
Was here in business at EU and NATO in late Sept. '04.
I first thought the location was a little out of the way from the EU sector up the hill but the Brussels Metro was just a few blocks away, either down or up the hill, take your pick. Either way there were toney shops to gawk at and the Louse Mall right next to the hotel.
This is the chic address in Brussels so if that is your thing, then you are at home at the Sofitel. Staff was attentive and the hotel bar was clubby without seeming stuffy. A bit of a hike to the Grand Place but it was an easy Metro transfer to the Gare Central and then just a ten minute walk down the hill. Breakfast was good but not included in the price of the room so if you want to save money, skip it, hit the excellent fresh fruit and baguette stands in the Louise Metro station down the street, and start your wandering of Brussels. Would stay here again for business or pleasure.
