Check the Cancellation Policy A review of The Mountain Top Inn & Resort
Just wanted to give all who are interested in staying here to make sure your plans are definite. They have a 21 day cancellation policy with no flexibility. We had to cancel 13 days out for a midweek - April reservation (read-slow time of year, we weren't taking a room from anyone) and they would not credit our account. They said they would hold our deposit for a future trip. As owners of a small hospitality business, we understand the loss of revenue issue but I can not recall when we have kept a midweek deposit. Because it just creates a disgruntled customer who not only won't go back, but will make sure all their friends know about their treatment. Why should they get to keep my money? I guess because they have their cancellation policy and they stick to it. Just make sure you are going if you reserve.
