Charming, with quiet places for me. A review of Interlaken Inn
I recently made reservations to stay at a local bed & breakfast in Lakeville, so that I could visit my son at school. I am going to keep the name of the B&B anonymous so that I don't hurt them in any way.
I arrived at the small inn and everyon seemed very firndly, but I go the distinct feeling that I was viewed as an "outsider" and that somehow everyone else there knew each other. I checked in and went upstairs to my room to discover that it would be entirely too noisy for me to stay the night.
When I spoke to the gentleman at the desk he informed me that the noisiness was from a gathering of locals, and that they would be done by 9 or 10 pm. I proceeded to ask to check out anyway, and asked for other lodging close by. I found my way to the Interlaken Inn, and asked for the quietest room that she had available.
I was given an upgraded room in one of their lovely buildings called Sunnyside House. I got back into my car, and to be honest, had a bit of a time finding the Sunnyside House. Interlaken has a number of different houses and buildings, as the place is quite expansive. Once I found my room - it was everything I hoped it would be, and more. Very clean, charming and above all - quiet.
