Charming boutique hotel A review of Sibonne Beach Hotel
We visited the Sibonne during peak season (February) and found it to a wonderful small hotel. The staff was thoughtful and gracious catering to even the strangest requests -- like blue drinks and chunks of fresh pineapple on a warm day! The rooms are minimally decorated in an odd sort of way but since most of the time is spent on the beach it didn't really impact the trip. Children were non-existent at this hotel. There appeared to be far more Europeans than Americans staying here which made for interesting lunch-time conversations. While Sibonne may not have the Hobie Cats, kayaks, etc. of some of the larger resorts, we also did not have to put up with nightly sing-alongs, showing wristbands in order to be served a drink or any other nonsense. The restauarant on-site was amazing and, for a change of pace, others are very near...including Hemingways. Perhaps best of all was the incredibly quiet beach complete with enough beach chairs for ALL the guests not just those arriving prior to 10AM. A wonderful, wonderful find!
