Central, unfriendly, noisy, not too clean. A review of Hotel Mozart
Hotel Mozart in Brussels is located only a couple of minutes from Grand Place. The street is very noisy and filled with cheap eateries, kept mostly by Moroccans. The food they serve is mainly kebap and such, very low quality. It's hard to believe that one can find that kind of "cheap" and ugly street in the very centre of the city.
Well, the whole centre of Brussels is dirty and full of litter. Not to talk about the surrounding neighborhoods Molenbeek, Anderlecht and Saint-Josse. The area near the southern railway station, Gare du Midi, is also surprisingly dirty and even dangerous in the evening time, be warned.
The hotel Mozart has been overdecorated, using a lot of strong salmon pink, red and gold. There are "statues" and other artsy stuff everywhere in the public areas.
The rooms are very small, but there are a couple of more spacious and more expensive rooms, too. There are a lot of stairs in the hotel.
The service at the reception could be friendlier.
You can stay at Mozart if you really don't mind the noise, the tasteless decor and careless attitude of the staff.
