Central - and Cozy! A review of The Central House
It's unique for us to be traveling without the motorhome, so we were pleased to find this cozy inn right in the middle of Bar Harbor at an affordable price. Although the bed didn't look like the Queen size described, it slept like one, and was firm, comfortable, and just what we needed. In the sunroom, a Keurig coffeemaker stood at the ready 24 hours a day, with a variety of coffees, teas, and decaf versions of both drinks, as well. The little cafe across the street was perfect for breakfast the next morning as we prepared for our second half-day exploration of Acadia National Park (5 minutes away). As an historic building, it's been beautifully updated and maintained for the comfort of today's guests. Cleanliness to the "nth" degree, and a welcoming manager/hostess. Their free Wi-Fi didn't work in the front lower level of the inn (we were in room 101).
