Casablanca Apartments, Puerto de la Cruz, and more! A review of Apartments Casablanca

We stayed in the Casablanca self-catering apartments, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife in early January 2004.The 2-bed apartment we had was clean and plenty spacious enough. It has a small balcony which had nice views onto palm trees and a side view of the sea. You could even see Mount Teide on clear days. There was a small kitchenette with fridge and cooker but no microwave. Plenty of cups, plates and the like. Bring (or buy) your own washing up liquid though. The maid came in more or less every day (the 6th Jan was a "fiesta" so I think that was skipped) and gave us towels and made the beds, God bless her.The reception staff all spoke far better English than I did Spanish and were polite and helpful. The resident "bar" served breakfast and snacks from 9am until closing. There was some musical entertainment some nights, but it was aimed at the Club 80-130 resident long-stay pensioners really. They offered underground parking for my hire car at 3 a day which was better than leaving it on the street. You could easily walk to the centre of Puerto from the hotel down 121 broad, wide steps, but for the less able-bodied this might be a problem. However, a taxi ride is pretty cheap.I've documented my full week there at the following web site: just click on the "Tenerife 2004" picture.Best Regards Ralph Bacon UK
