Cape Cod's Wequassett INN A review of Wequassett Resort and Golf Club
The Wequassett is one of the finest resorts on the Cape. I stayed there in late July and even though the weather was fair at best the setting was superb. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and mixed with annual and perennials throughout. We were there for a business meeting with pleasure mixed in each afternoon. The brunch each morning available in the Atlantic was very good and the clam bake was spectacular as my out of state friends couldn't believe the size of the lobsters.
The view over Pleasant Bay is one to remember with sunrise views in the morning and bay water that reaches mid 70's in JUly. They have all the amenities you would expect on the beach (although a beach not like those on the outer Cape). Hobie Cats, kayaks, and motor boat rentals are available by just calling the dockmaster.
Shopping is the best in this part of the Cape with antique shops, art galleries and great window shopping in Chatham, Wellfleet and Provincetown. Don't forget to rent a car to really say parts of the Cape that most visitors forget.
By renting a car, you can travel on Route 6A (not to be mistaken with 6) and cruise the shops along this Cape Cod Bayside road.
The cottages on the water are absolutlely a must to stay in at the INN.
