Buyer beware! A review of Siesta Beach Resort & Suites
My friends and I reserved a room for two nights last weekend (4th of July). Though this a great location if you want to walk to the restaurants, bars & shops of Siesta key Village, this property has some issues they need to work out. The hotel property itself is not well maintained. When we checked in, we noticed trash and cigarette butts everywhere, empty beer bottles strewn about and left that way for the entire time we were there.
Our room also had very old stained furniture, ancient beds with cheap linens, and a completely rusted out sink. There was also a small pool, which was okay, but has no shaded areas. The nearest beach access is a short walk form the hotel, but the beack itself is not the greatest.
The better beach is the public beach which is a short drive away.
