Buyer Beware (Caveat emptor) A review of Ramada Branson Hotel And Resort

Made internet reservations to include one handicapped room as well as regular room. Website said no king beds available but showed handicapped rooms available. Upon arrival were told no handicap rooms available and that this hotel "doesn't guarantee availability of anything reserved over the internet." Well what good is an internet reservation then!?!?!? Was told that we'd get a break on the room because of this lack of availability but then were told "you'll have to come back and talk to the manager because I don't have any authority to change the price."

During our check-in, witnessed guests needing management, maintenance and housekeeping none of which were around the place or reachable even though there was a posted manager on duty (but we were told he was out of the country at the time!). Got it all straightened out eventually, but we had to do without the handicap room 1st night and then make 2 trips back to the hotel the next day to get this all straightened out which took away from siteseeing time.

Our free breakfast was a joke! Turned out to be a skimpy continental breakfast in the backroom - so handicap parking out front was a waste cause we still had to walk around the building - of the restaurant next door.

Rooms were clean, and they gave us a break on the rooms after all the screwups, but all in all, I think we could've done MUCH better staying somewhere else. From the looks of the rest of the reviews of this place, seems like we're not alone in our feelings.
