Bright, comfy rm better than Comfort Suites A review of La Quinta Inn Moab

Stayed at La Quinta for 2 nights, after rejecting the Comfort Suites right across the street. For the same money, the rooms are comparably sized, and the La Quinta rooms are much more comfortable, up-to-date and brighter (enough lamps, with enough wattage). We had 2 "queen" beds, a separate loveseat sitting are with desk, a mini fridge that was much larger than the one at Comfort Suites, and a television that was also much larger than the one at Comfort Suites. There are 2 sinks with a lot of area for toiletries, located in the room rather than in the bathroom (toilet/shower) area--which we found more versatile than having them in the bathroom. Hairdryer and iron and ironing board were included, as well as a coffee maker. The beds were comfortable, if a little bit soft. The furnishings were up-to-date, and looked quite new. It was very clean. We did not check out the pool or hot tub. The breakfast was typical--cereals, breads, yogurt, fruit and waffles--and the juice was really good. The only thing I was worried about was that they allow pets, and do not segregate the rooms. However, we didn't have a problem with any pet smells, or barking (and I saw quite a few dogs). I am very allergic to animals, and had no problems. Overall, I highly recommend La Quinta--and try out Desert Bistro for dinner too--it's wonderful
