Beware of this one A review of Adventureland Inn
I just came back from THE worst hotel stay I ever had. We checked into our room at 3pm on the hottest day of the summer (99 degrees). When we entered the room, it was like a sauna. The thermostat read 88 degrees and the air conditioner did not work. I phoned the front desk and was told to turn the air conditioner down and wait a while. (I actually did that before I called the desk). We decided to go to the pool to cool off. Even that did not work, the water felt like a very warm bathtub.
When we returned to the room it was still 88 degrees so I went to the front desk and was told maintenence would be there to look at it and I requested a fan. When the fan arrived it had a thick covering of dust, dirt and filth. The manager called me at 5:15 pm to inform me that the air conditioner was not working but it was expected to be fixed in about 30 minutes. He also told us in the meantime that we were welcome to some free drinks in the lounge. The air conditioner finally started to work around 5am. Those "free" drinks also showed up on our bill when we checked out.
