Better than I even imagined it could be! A review of Hotel Marlowe - A Kimpton Hotel
My boyfriend and I were looking for a decent, reasonably priced hotel in the Boston/Cambridge area where we could spend the Labor Day weekend. I happened upon the Marlowe via Expedia, and it was love at first sight! I got a special rate through the hotel (a promo deal), and booked for two nights at $119/night- it's normally well over $200/night for our room! The overall decor was hip without being kitchy, and comfort reigned supreme, from the super plush leopard-print bathrobes to the gorgeous, silky down comforter. The service totally exceeded our expectations. The concierge, Hope, suggested fantastic restaurants for us both nights of our stay, and also took care of making our reservations. The doorman, Morgan, who was as charming and interesting as his surroundings, made sure we never had to ask twice to get where we needed to be. The T is very close by, and the Galleria mall is attached to the Marlowe, perfect for last-minute shopping, with hotel parking right inside (at $20/day, parking is pricey, but you get unlimited access to your car). The complementary wine hour is a great way to relax after a long day of exploring Boston, before getting ready to go out to dinner. So long as the Marlowe has great offers like the one we snapped up, we'll be back again. We've only been home for a day, but we're already talking about our next trip there, only this time, we're bringing our friends with us!
