Better than expected A review of Residence Inn Seattle Downtown/Lake Union
Stayed here for 3 days in December 2004. Chose it mainly because of having a family and needing catering facilities, the price was also excellent. We had a huge suite with 2 full bathrooms, enough bed space for 5, good kitchen, enormous balcony and lake views. Breakfast is included and a guest reception with food a couple of nights a week. Plenty of reading/seating areas in the lounge, along with 24 hour tea/coffee.
The hotel is not deluxe, they were renovating when I was there. But I couldn't have asked for more.
There is a small parking charge but we parked free of charge in the next street.
The best thing is the free shuttle which will drop off and pick up within a 2 mile radius. Pike's market is wonderful. We bought a fresh seafood banquet and cooked it up in the suite. The other nights we went to the adjacent restaurants. Chandler's Crab Shack is particularly good, although slightly expensive. We also visited Larry's market which is a great grocery store.
No complaints - except the weather.
