Better than Expected A review of Mohegan Sun
Stayed at Mohegan for one night in August, 2003. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The room was very large and very clean.
Bathroom was nothing special but adequate. Overall decor was nice. We got a player's rate of $125 even though I had just signed up and had yet to gamble there. We had lunch at the more expensive of the 2 buffets. Food was okay but definitely not worth $18.00. I like the decor/atmosphere of Mohegan a lot. It is far superior to Foxwoods in my opinion. The biggest disappointment was the drink service in the casino. We played blackjack for several hours and got maybe 2 drinks.
I've had the same problem at Foxwoods. Unfortunately they are closing the poker room at Mohegan, which is means I'll be stuck going to Foxwoods most of the time from now on.
