Best Place in Temecula! A review of South Coast Winery Resort & Spa
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights Nov. of 2004. The rates were lower due to their being construction still going on but I know they have since gone up. The spa was not completed but that did not matter as the rooms are the best I have ever stayed in! Every room there is its own little villa(we did not have any adjoining walls to the other villas) in a circle of 4 villas with their own little mini courtyard, ours had a water fountain with trickling water! All of the furniture and decor is new and gorgeous, nothing dated at all! We had a bottle of wine sitting on our table upon entrance with 2 glasses, robe, slippers, very nice toiletries(the usual shampoo, lotion but we also had bath crystals and all of the products were nice quality and smelled wonderful!) The bathroom was huge! And tiled all over, with glass block to let in sunlight. The shower is large enough for two with twin shower heads, as is the jacuzzi bathtub(with a faucet at each end also!) They also have the gas fireplaces in the room, not so much the type of fireplace for heating but more for looks. We also had our own set of double doors and our own little patio with table and chairs. Continental breakfast served with yogurt, fruit, bagels, coffee and the usual drinks. It is an ideal place to stay for those who want to spend a day taking a wine tour since all the wineries are pretty much located off the same main road. The wine tour will pick you up also and drop you back off at South Coast. Very romantic!
