Best kept secret in Maine A review of Sebasco Harbor Resort
Sebasco Harbor Resort is nestled between the quaint rural villages of Phippsburg and Sebasco Estates and will offer the weary traveler a respite uncomparable in the 'real world'. The peace and tranquility truly affords us the opportunity to contemplate and reflect in quiet solitude. For the energetic, activities are endless, including on property golf, swimming in a salt water pool cove side, sailing, pirate, lobstering and sunset cruises aboard the Ruth, old time Brunswick candle-pin bowling, canoing, kyaking, pier fishing, tide pool exploration, three distinct restaurants(with amazing menus and fantastic desserts) with optional outside dining, bike paths and hiking. Evening murder mystery and USO shows are entertaining. Well organized childrens camp is available daily. The surrounding villages also support the best beach in Maine(Popham) with smooth sand and views of the lighthouses, shopping, rock climbing and lagoon swimming at nearby Reid State Park. Having traveled extensively throughout the south, and well versed on the accomodations of newer southern resorts, I can say that nothing has given our family more of a sense of peace than the removed Sebasco Harbor Resort. Don't choose Sebasco for the newest, most decadent accomodations, as you will be disappointed. Embrase the simplicity and beauty of life at Sebasco, and you will surely not be disappointed. We are three years strong in visiting with our four children, and could not recommend another place more!
