Best Holiday ever A review of Anantara Si Kao Resort & Spa
My husband and I stayed at the Amari Trang - Apr this year (05). It was perfect. It is generally the way that Photos in the brochure do not live up to reality but this was not the case, the rooms, the facilities, everything was beautiful. The staff made the place even more special for us. It was quiet and we obviously chatted to the staff. They went out of their way to be sociable and ensure we got the best out of the trip. There is nothing better than listening and talking to the locals to find the best of the area.
The food was great, 3 lovely restaurants and the nightly entertainment was gentle but perfect.
The beach is nice, we did not swim in it much, but it is fine to swim in.
The views from the rooms are breathtaking, I have hundreds of phots of sunsets as each one you watch just seems better than the last.
We did get out and about a couple of times, there is not much close by but the Hotel do a complimentary taxi to take you to the local village.
We did a day trip to the Islands but we went with a local guest house rather than the Hotel and had a great day with a mix of Thai and Brits.
There is a small bar at the end of the road which we went to a couple of times, the lady that owns it is fascinating and speaks very good English.
If you want lots of excitement and entertainment this is not the place for you, but if you want luxury and pure relaxation and just a heavenly holiday go to the Amari Trang.
