Beautifully rustic appearance A review of Heathman Lodge
Our family stayed at the Heathman Lodge August 4, 2004 and were thrilled at the beautiful, log cabin/mountain lodge look of the hotel, both inside and out. I was able to get it through Expedia for $91 and thought it was a great deal, considering I had to pay the same for a gross little chain hotel the following day.
We were pleased at the spaciousness of our room, but it may have been because it was a handicap room (at least I assume it was due to the chair in the shower and absence of a bathtub). The kids thought that was very novel. :)
The pool was too chilly for my taste, but the exercise room was wonderfully stocked and had lots of great machines (i.e. treadmills, stair machines, etc.).
We didn't eat at the restaurant or utilize any other services, but we certainly loved the beauty of the hotel and the log-cabin-style decor. The kids loved the goldfish (koi?) pond outside the main entrance too.
