Beautiful Hotel - Major Service Issues A review of Hotel Palomar Dallas - A Kimpton Hotel
I stayed at the Hotel Palomar from Nov. 7 - 9, 2006. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has wonderful toiletries - L'Occitane.
Then it goes downhill from there...Upon arriving into my room, I was famished! I looked for a room service menu, none to be found, I called down to front desk and they assured me one would be on the way up...well after 1 hour I went downstairs to obtain one myself.
Ordered room service for dinner my first evening (Nov. 7), my glass of wine not delivered.
Filled out the breakfast door hanger and placed it on my door @ 10pm for service the next day @ 7:15am.
It is now 8:05 still no breakfast order, I called down and they said oh I forgot it! Would you still like your breakfast, I said yes...they said I'll get to it as soon as I can; I asked for a more specific time and again stated as soon as I can get to it (coffee, white toast). It arrived now 11/2 hr. late; and was charged for it!
Took a shower both mornings, no hot water!
Hotel states internet service, needed to get help from the support tech, phoned the tech and was on hold 15 minutes before he could even hear my question of help. The next day (Nov. 8) internet was down all-day, I could not complete any work.
Left my room on Nov. 8th @ 8am, came back @ 2pm and still my room wasn't serviced.
Note: hotel does not replenish toiletries on a daily basis, nor is there a shower cap in the bathroom.
To complete my stay my room bill was incorrect and had to wait at the front desk for completion.
