Beautiful Historical Property A review of Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade
Stayed at the Hyatt at the Arcade over the 4th of July weekend. Specifically chose the Hyatt due to its proximity to the Lakefront airport, where the Cleveland Grand Prix was being held. It was an easy walk and we felt very safe and comfortable walking downtown. The hotel was a pleasant surprise - a beautifully restored and maintained historic property. The Arcade area was just gorgeous. There was a wedding reception being held in the Arcade the night we were there - what a lovely setting! Our room was a nice size, very quiet and very comfortable, although the furnishings were a bit bland. I don't think housekeeping had quite finished with our room before we checked in, however - no coffee carafe, no coffee cups - but we didn't need those anyway. Service at the front desk was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, including the valets and bellmen. Breakfast at the restaurant was wonderful. Nightcaps at the bar were fine, if a bit pricey. And I will join the ranks in complaining about the valet parking price - $21.00 per night in downtown Cleveland on a weekend is absurd. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the hotel and would stay here again.
