Beautiful, Great Service, Good Price A review of Hyatt Regency Cleveland at The Arcade
Stayed two weekend nights at this Hyatt for leisure. This is one beautiful property. I got this hotel by bidding priceline for less than $50. Checkin was painless, with no mention of the priceline brand. Just a quick "it shows that everything has been prepaid" from the attendant. The hotel reminded me a lot of Embassy Suites properties; my room was a proper suite (not some stupid divider, but an actual door between the sitting area and bedroom), very modern amenities, clean and functional throughout. Bathroom was medium-sized, spotless and modern, the soap/shampoo provided were excellent. The neighborhood does not inspire confidence, but this is Cleveland, what do you expect? As most reviewers stated, parking is difficult... you don't HAVE to do valet though, there is a lot a block away but the price is steep (can't remember exactly, but something like $15 per day). Otherwise, you can try your luck with street parking. I found the hotel employees to be friendly and helpful; we were heading to Cedar Point one day, and to a large park far away from town for an REM concert the other day. A hotel employee sat down with us for over half an hour and explained all driving directions and gave us tips on how to avoid crowds and make best use of our time at both venues. I will definitely come back to this hotel whenever I am in Cleveland.
