Bad Experience - do not recommend A review of Days Inn Morro Bay
We located this hotel via the AAA tour book and made reservations for April 28th and 29th. After entering the room, we used the toilet facilities. Unfortunately, the toilet did not flush. We called the front desk and someone responded immediately to 'fix' the problem, even snaked it. I took a shower that evening and the water, although set at a warm setting, at first was fine but after a minute or so it was scalding hot, although I had not changed the setting. I did not complain at that time. The next morning, my friend took a shower and I heard him making a loud exclamation and shutting the shower off. His chest was red from the scalding hot water. He dressed up, and then used the toilet. It did not flush again. We immediately decided to check out and find another hotel if possible. Upon entering the lobby were greeted with a good morning. We were upset and muttered ----- morning'. The clerk was immediately upset that we used the 's' word and was very irate. We apologized for that - he was upset for some time about us cussing when he did calm down, we told him what we had experienced, that it was dangerous to guests and it should be fixed. We also mentioned that the sound of flushing and running water in the building was annoying. He said there had not been a problem with 'fluctuating' water. His comments made us believe that this had occurred before. We were refunded our second night's lodging. We had to find another hotel room, which we were fortunate to find across the street at a La Serena Inn, a very pleasurable stay, I might add.
