Bad, Bad Experience A review of Arizona Riverpark Inn
I booked a room from their own website which offered $59 for a standard room or $69 for "courtyard view". Took the upgrade, and upon arrival, found that a courtyard view included a backhoe, dump truck, and lot filled with dirt. In addition, found that our second floor sliding glass door opened up to nothing but a gate fencing it off-no balcony, so why they had a door, I don't know. Asked to be moved to a first floor room (which comes with a patio) on the other side of the courtyard that was not under construction. We were accommodated, but at checkout, found that my inlaws received the same type of room in the first place at a cheaper rate by booking over the phone, however, when I called before making reservations, was told that $69 was the cheapest rate (even though lesser rate was shown online). In general, front desk were thoroughly confused about what the rates were, and think a view of construction is considered an upgrade. Also very rude. Would have changed hotels if everyone else hadn't been booked.
