Awful experience A review of Hilton Miami Downtown
We booked our room through Sky Auction and got a pretty good price. We requested a king room and the girl told me that's what we had when we checked in. Imagine my surprise when we got to our room and there are two double beds. The room was on the 11th floor and was really nice with a great view of the bay. I went to take a shower before going to bed and there was NO hot water and the drain and catch were both broken. I was standing in cold water really quick so I got out and called the front desk. Not only was the clerk aware of it but told me the boiler for floors 11-21 was out and had been since the night before. Now I'm wondering why they would keep putting people in rooms they know have no hot water. The clerk said they hoped to have the boiler fixed by the next day and she would send someone up to fix the drain. Why? I'm not using it at this point. The guy shows up with a screwdriver and messes around till he decides he needs a plunger. He leaves and comes back a while later to fix the problem. It was 11pm when he finally left. The next morning we actually had tepid water to shower in but the drain really wasn't fixed it was just in the position it should be. We couldn't hang clothes in the closet because the track for the door was broken. Didn't want to put clothes in the drawer because there was a wad of hair and trash in it. Finally went to sit at the table to read but couldn't read because the lamp didn't have a lightbulb in it. We had to leave at 5:45am to catch a flight home. When we got to the lobby there was a man in a suit literally passed out on the couch. Can't imagine why someone didn't get him out of there. The clerk took my key and told me to have a good trip then walked off. Didn't give me a chance to say anything to her even though they had this sign posted about hospitality and satisfaction guaranteed. When we walked out we had to be careful because there was broken glass and beer bottles everywhere. Someone had a good time the night before but it definitely wasn't us. Could not imagine any Radisson being in the shape this one was in but they evidently don't care.
