Awesome resort! A review of Marriott's Ocean Pointe
My husband and I stayed at Ocean Pointe in July 2003. The resort was beautiful and the grounds were immaculate and well kept. The buildings are designed so that no matter if your room is in the front of the hotel (by the beach) or near the back, everyone has an ocean view.
Although we do not have children, there were many supervised activities at all times to keep little ones busy. There are 3 pools and the one we preferred (the least crowded one) had adult swim 2 times a day, which the resort was very firm about. The on-site bar/restaurant had a limited menu but served great lunch food. The guest rooms were gorgeous! Our room was larger than our first apartment. We had a full kitchen, jacuzzi bathtub with separate shower, washer and dryer and a patio that had a wonderful view of the Atlantic! We were a little nervous that we would find a bug or two in our room, since it was summertime in Florida but we never found any, not even one! The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans, even dishwashing detergent and paper towels.
The only thing that was less than perfect was the fact that the resort was in the process of constructing a new building. There was some noise due to the construction, but it was no big deal.
Mu husband and I both loved this resort and thought it was just about as good as our all-inclusive honeymoon (without the all-inclusive part!). We would definitely go back.
