Avoid at all costs... A review of Sailport Waterfront Suites
I was at the Sailport for an extended stay, so my experiences may be unique. The Sailport is conveniently located near the Airport, and there is a nice view of the Bay. The room is presentable, and all rooms are apparently 1 bedroom suites. HOWEVER, do not plan on getting any sleep here. The hallways are open at one end and echo horribly. The noise problem is compounded by the fact that every morning (particularly on the fourth floor) a mob of unruly Spanish-speaking maids converge on the hotel to begin offering service. The cacaphony of their staccato voices still rings in my head. All polite requests for them to be quiet were ineffective. All stern demands for them to be quiet are ineffective. The manager has done nothing to correct the situation. Also, the front desk has lost and even OPENED my mail!!?? When it rains, volkswagon-sized roaches seek shelter in the rooms. The ship's store is overpriced, the stairwells smell like urine, and the ONE elevator is slow to respond and groans fitfully. Stay away!!!!!
