Average 3 star hotel in residential area A review of Radisson Hotel JFK Airport

This doubletree hotle is close to JFK and that's it!! Its in Queens neighborhood surrounded by residential houses, very far from any commercial or shopping area, no restaurants nearby, and far from Manhattan (about 15 miles). The hotel check-in is easy, staff is friendly, rooms are very big and comfortable, and shuttle bus to JFK runs every 30 minutes. You get two chocalate chip cookies upon check-in but that's it.

However, conceirge has rude NY attitude and housekeeping is below par. When we checked in, left over food was on the floor in the hallway next to our room for 2 days and our room was not entirely cleaned. Getting to Manhattan takes about 1 hour via bus stop to Jamaica station, then transfer to E train. Buy a 1 day pass fro $7 to ride subway and bus alll day. I would not stay here again b/c of the distance from Manhattan, poor hotel service, and poor neighborhood.
