An Average Stay at the Springhill Suites A review of SpringHill Suites Charlotte Airport
My family and I stayed at the Springhill Suites Charlotte Airport for one night during a short weekend to North Carolina. I called for an airport shuttle as soon we arrived into Charlotte. The shuttle arrived within 10-minutes, the driver was very friendly, and helpful. Checking into the hotel was very fast and efficient. There was only one desk clerk working the counter, he acted bored, non-talkative, answered all of our questions with a sigh, and presented himself as if checking us in was a chore.
The hotel does have a business library, which has a computer to use for free of charge, a snack center, and medium size pool. The shuttle back to the airport runs every ½ of hour after 7:30 in the morning. If you need the shuttle before 7:30 in the morning it is a good idea to put your name on the list. I requested the shuttle for 6:45am. At 6:15am the front desk called our room to ensure we were still planning on taking the airport shuttle. When I was on the phone with the desk clerk I inquired about possibly taking the 7:00am shuttle, however she said it would not leave until 7:15am. Therefore, we decided to take the 6:45am shuttle.
I do not have any complaints about the hotel room. We stayed in a king suite, which included a couch, chair, and small kitchen. There is also free high -speed Internet access in the room, which is ideal for the business traveler. The bathroom was very large. There were also a lot of mirrors throughout the room.
There is a free continental breakfast in the morning. The desk clerk and sign says that the breakfast starts at 6:30am in the morning on Sunday. We went down at 6:35am to quickly eat before taking the shuttle. However, the breakfast was not ready. There were not any breakfast items out and the coffee and juice were not even ready. The person attending the breakfast acted very annoyed that we were there and started to bring out a few items and began slamming them down on the counter. The airport shuttle left a few minutes late, therefore at 6:50am the breakfast was still not ready.
Besides the rude desk clerk and the lack of service at the breakfast the hotel was a typical Springhill Suites.
