An all around EXCELLENT hotel A review of Liberty Hotel
This is a one-of-a-kind hotel in many capacities. The lobby/reception area is unreal!!! Exposed brick, vaulted ceilings that stretch for over 5 floors, high-end restaurants and bars. The bar [Alibi...located on the ground floor] was jam packed on Friday night with a mainly young-hip crowd. They have some cool mug-shots of famous celebritys on the exposed brick walls, thus sticking to [and not in a corny way] the jail-house theme.
The staff is extremely knowledgeable and eager to help. Our bellman, Chris, went over all of the amenities that the hotel had to offer and reccomended an A+ lunch spot [Parrish Cafe on Boylston St.] and was eager to help.
The locations is great. RIght at the northern tip of Charles Street [literally a 5 minute walk to the heart of Beacon Hill and 10 minutes to the Commons]. There's a T-Stop right outside the hotel as well.
The rooms are great as well. Chaise lounge, plasma tv, very modern and spacious bathrooms with separate soaking tub and slate-walls in the shower. My ONLY slight complaint would be the bed. It was okay. I've slept in better/more comfortable beds at Sheraton's.
All-in-all, a great stay. I would certainly stay here again and loved every minute of it. If you want to stay in a hotel that's edgy and classy, then this is your best and only bet in Boston.
