All the comforts of home- and then some A review of The Casitas of Arroyo Grande
Located in the rolling hills outside the picturesque town of Arroyo Grande lies this gem. The term B&B does not do this place justice, I think of it as more of a small private home with comfortable self contained guest quarters arranged around a beautifully landscaped grounds. The hosts are friendly but carefully maintain the professional distance needed to let visitors find their feet, relax and wander around the grounds. They offered sage advice about distances to local attractions and certainly helped us achieve the goals of visiting certain places without knocking ourselves senseless with a long drive that we had initially thought of doing. The breakfasts were too delicious and plentiful, Tony and Pat know how to lavish you with the most comfortable bed and softest sheets you'll ever find. It is hard to say goodbye, so do stay for longer than we did. If I had to find fault at all, it is that hard-core coffee nuts from Australia would appreciate espresso coffee over filter, but that is basically a cultural difference.
