...all loved it A review of Aaah the Views Bed and Breakfast
When we first arrived in the Stream Room, my four-year-old daughter climbed into the loft with its own windows and declared with a big smile, "I'll sleep up here." We stayed two days, and all loved it.
Below our big window we could see the stream, beyond that the edge of Parker Ranch pastureland, and far above that, Mauna Kea appeared in the mornings with glints of snow and observatories. This room shares a bathroom with another, but it was laid out to encourage guests to share nicely, and this arrangement worked fine for us.
The Stuarts and breakfast were great, as others have mentioned. Others have not mentioned the plantings around the yard, which are beautiful and interesting: jade plant, euphorbia, protea, bird-of-paradise, and many others I can't identify. Each time I walked down to the breakfast area, I had to pause to consider fragrant smells from strange plants.
On our last day we came back from the Kohala coast hot and tired. But the cool air and our quiet room refreshed us, so we scrambled across the stream, crawled under a fence, and walked up into the pasture. A hundred yards from the B&B we found old Hawaiian walls and stone foundations - a perfect spot to watch the sun set.
