Adolphus and the Magnolia: No Comparison A review of Adolphus Hotel

I also stay at the Adolphus on business frequently. Have tried the Magnolia, and theres no comparison. The Adolphus is a full-service luxury hotel. Restaurants. Room Service. Wayport Wi-Fi in all the guest rooms and public areas. They cater to the business traveler, with an experienced staff who are always right there when you need them. I dont think the Magnolia holds itself out as a deluxe hotel. Its a former office building converted into a hotel and thats limited them in what they can offer. You have to go next door to The Adolphus to get something decent to eat. The Adolphus guestrooms have lots of space to spread out and the décor is just fine. Simple and elegant. We meet for cocktails at The Adolphus all the time. The Rodeo Bar isnt the only choice there. Try the French Room Bar, the Bistro Bar or the lobby itself. The beauty of the place is that you can carry on a conversation without shouting. Ive signed plenty of deals at the Adolphus my clients love meeting me there. Theres just an air of refinement and class that you dont find anywhere else. As for the frequent flyer miles, you can chalk up miles with both American and Delta 500 to 1,000 miles a night. This isnt sporadic it happens like clockwork. Definitely try the French Room. Just saw a thumbs up on it in AMERICAN WAY magazine and theyre 100% right. The place rocks. Easily one of the finest dining experiences in America. And dont let the name fool you its American to the core. This isnt about rich sauces and frilly fare. Great tenderloin. Rack of lamb. Halibut. Ive tried almost everything on the menu, now, and they do every dish right. The Adolphus is truly the citys grand hotel and equal to anything Ive seen in the U.S. and abroad. Bar none.
