Adequate, reasonable. A review of Sutton Suites And Extended Stays

I decided to stay in the Seatac area and wasn't familiar with the hotels in the area. Did a bit of homework by reading the reviews here since I wanted a fairly large comfortable room with a full kitchen.

Usually I stay in downtown Seattle and I'm used to staying either at Springhill Suites or Residence Inn type accommodation. One thing I did not realize was that this is not a new place. The picture they use to advertise the front of the building is quite deceptive. It actually seems like its two older apartment buildings joined together by walkways. I got a king sized bed with full kitchen. A large studio, not really a "suite" as there was no separate room divider between the bed and rest of the space. Bed was comfy. Couch, tv and dining areas had a bit lower than average quality of furnishings, though all were functioning and comfortable enough. Pros: Got a GREAT price of $40 US per nite. Easy location to get onto the hwy travelling north to seattle or south to tacoma (I was going to both locations during my multi-day stay). Front desk staff were fairly pleasant. Cons: Parking was horrible. They allow ppl who are flying out of seatac to park complimentary, which uses up a HUGE amount of their parking. When I'd come back at late nite hours, I had to leave my key at the front desk for them to shoehorn my car and to be able to move it around, I found this to be annoying. Housekeeping was inconsistent. On 2 out of my four days they didn't replenish the in room coffee, shampoo or wash the dirty dishes.

Would I stay again? Perhaps. I was glad I didn't get sucked into going to the Sleep Inn or Jet Motel which looked like total dumps. If I had to stay in the seatac area again, I would perhaps go for a location a bit further south on Int'l Blvd by the Ramada or the Doubletree. In that end of Seatac there was much more supply of restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations etc.

Conclusion: Good value for what you get. If you're used to staying in business class or higher tourist class accommodation you may be a bit disappointed. I gave it a 3 dot rating as I realized when I booked it that it wouldn't be the type of quality standard I was normally used to.
