Accomodations are average A review of Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo
We stayed at the Embassy Suites on a CA road trip. I had never stayed at an Embassy Suites before so I have no idea how they rate in comparison to other ES hotels. I thought the room was dingy. It seemed clean but it was very dark inside. The furniture in the living room part of the suite was old. Also, the hotel is located right next to the freeway, so you will hear some car noise. Actually you won't hear the car noise until the piano noise from the lobby is over for the night (9pm?).
They did have a breakfast in the morning. If you decide to eat eggs, have them make you a special order rather than just scramble eggs which were already cooked. I noticed that people who had the plain scrambled eggs took one bite and did not finish them. My husband had a Denver omlette, and said it was fine. They also have a Belgian waffle stand where you can make your own waffles. The coffee was average, but there is a Starbucks in the shopping center next door.
Overall, if the rooms were updated, this would be a pretty good deal. If I were to go back to SLO, I would probably check out another place to stay.
