Absolutely Wonderful Stay! A review of Holiday Inn Charlotte - Center City
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Center City August 12-17th, 2006 for a convention. We were able to check-in at 10:30 am and were given a renovated room on the concierge floor-the 15th floor. There is a nightly reception with beer, wine and soda and salads and a hot dish Monday-Thursday 5:30-7:30 for the gold and silver Priority Club members. There is also a nice breakfast the same mornings. Then on Wednesday night there is an hour reception for everyone in the hotel in the restaurant with free beer, a roast beef carving, side dishes and lots of other tasty snacks.
The room was nice and the shampoos were Bio from Bath and Body Works. It had the curved shower rod for more room in the shower. The fitness center is new with many machines on the rooftop with the outdoor running or walking track. The pool and the rooftop jacuzzi were private with lots of lounge chairs and towels. I have included some photos for you.
Jay Jay at the front desk was outstanding and he even let us print out our boarding passes at the front desk. Also the beautiful birds in the big glass cage in the lobby are so fun to watch and they seem to love people!
The location is so close to Rockbottom, Fox and the Hound and the grocery store is right across the street as is the Bobcat Arena. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly and helpful and they gave us a late check-out and the housekeeping staff would clean our room early or late in the day-whichever we chose!
