Absolutely terrible A review of Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center
When I booked through Priceline I was surprised and pleased to find out that we would be staying at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan. I figured we booked a great deal ($59) on a room in a respectable hotel. This excitement changed to disappointment upon checking into the hotel.
The gentleman at the front desk was curt and rude. The room we were given was not good. (I was told it was the only room available. Right.) If I had not pre-paid though Priceline, I would have left IMMEDIATELY. The room was in a back corner. There was no climate control and the room was quite warm. The linens reeked of smoke. The internet service did not work. The clock was set on the wrong time. The light by the bed didn't not work.
The only positive experience was the maintenance man who came to the room to try to fix the broken internet portal. He was very personable and friendly unlike the front desk staff. We changed rooms the second day b/c of the internet failure. We were charged $6 for 2 bottles of water that were never in the room in the first place. I' chose to pay the $6 rather than deal with anyone in that hotel ever again.
