Absolutely Horrible A review of Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel

We had made reservations a week prior to our trip. We arrived on a late flight into Norfolk & proceeded to get lost going to the hotel. We called the hotel three separate times to get directions. After being transferred numerous times & acting like we were hassling them, they proceeded to get us lost more. After on hour of driving around, we arrived at the hotel only to be informed that they had given our room away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They in fact had our reservation, but did not honor it. They sent us to another hotel 15 miles away at 1:00 am in the morning. They assured us it was a nicer room, but we were put in a $59/night room that was the size of a closet & had carpet that was installed in the Great Depression. My husband had an allergy attack due to the moldy carpet. The Sheraton has assured us they will credit our account, but as of yet they haven't. When we call all we are getting is an answering machine.We spent the next 2 nights at a bed & breakfast called the Page House Inn in Norfolk. It was by far the nicest place to stay. I only wished we would have pulled over there while we were driving around lost the first night.We will never stay in a Sheraton again.
