Absolutely Brilliant A review of Hotel Jalta
We have just returned from a 3 day trip to Prague and stayed at the Jalta Hotel on Wenceslas Square. It was very good value for money, we emailed the hotel directly for a rate for bed and breakfast, we also organised taxi transfers with them. The response was very good. Staff were very friendly and cooperative.
Our room was very clean and the bedding and towels were changed every day. Our room was on the second floor at the back of the hotel so we heard no noise from the square. We didn't go to Prague to stay in a hotel room but we can recommend this hotel as a good base for all the sights. Breakfast was very good with a very good choice of cooked English breakfast or continental breakfast and you could have as much or little as you wanted. If you like a good cup of tea take your own teabags as their breakfast tea is very weak.
Prague is a good place to visit and 3 days is plenty time to see everything, if you don't want to use the mini-bar there are plenty of shops where you can buy drinks and there is a Tesco nearby also.
Good place to eat is KOGO there are 2 not far from the hotel especially if you like Italian food, take care as some of the hotel cafe's on the side of the street charge a service charge and its included in the price which you don't know about until you get the receipt.
The only downside for us was that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the little coke a cola stalls all around the square do a nice cup of coffee if you really want one and not as expensive as the hotels, the beer is also very cheap from them if you are that way inclined
