A wonderful value A review of BEST WESTERN PLUS The Normandy Inn & Suites

This hotel is a bargain in an expensive market- downtown Minneapolis. It is located about four blocks from Nicolette Mall and seven from the Metrodome, three from the light rail. Rooms were spacious and clean- we even had a nice recliner. It was historically hot in the City, with temps over 100%, but the air conditioner worked flawlessly and the indoor pool was inviting. The continental breakfast was adequate and even had hard-boiled eggs. A nice touch was free milk and cookies at 10 pm every night. At the cost of $89 per night, in mid-summer, I felt that I will certainly stay here again when I visit my family. The clientle was interesting, mainly European tourists. A restaurant/bar on the site would have been nice, but many are located nearby. All in all a very nice experience in a old-fashioned property. A very safe area.
