A warm and friendly welcome at the San Juan Inn A review of San Juan Inn

As part of our Grand Circle trip from Las Vegas around Utah and Arizona we stayed at the San Juan Inn in Mexican Hat, perfectly placed to visit Monument Valley just 50 miles south down Highway 163.It was staffed by mainly local native Navajo people who showed us nothing but a warm welcome, friendliness and couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely clean room overlooking the San Juan river with everything we needed just a few steps away within the grounds. There was a well stocked souvenir gift shop in the form of the San Juan Trading Post selling many Navajo related items and a restaurant/bar with a great atmosphere adorned with local historical memorabilia and pictures etc.We ate in the restaurant for both evening dinner and breakfast the next day and can recommend the food, half the menu being delicious local Navajo dishes, as well some of the most attentive and most friendly waitress service we had during our trip. All in all a great place to stay!
