A very modern hotel A review of Relais Ravestein
This place seems more like an art gallery or high class furniture outlet than an hotel.
A brand new hotel fitted out within an old building located right on the waterfront and near the town centre.
Everything about this hotel speaks high quality and expensive. You can smell new leather everywhere. Very expensive looking stainless steel halagen light fittings everywhere. Plenty of glass and bright paintwork.
We had the Adolf Van Kleef suite on the top floor which had exposed timbers which could give you a nasty bump on the head if not carefull. All very tastefully done.
The room had everything you could ever want including Jacuzzibath, rainshower, red Spinneybeck leather topped desk and chair, fax machine and printer, solid wood credenza unit, huge bed, a large screen flat screen LCD TV and some original artwork. Upstairs theres was a mezzanine area with sofa and a second flat screen LCD TV. Separate aircon for upstairs & downstairs.
A breakfast buffet was provided and well stocked taken out on the waterside deck.
There are no leisure facilities, no pool or fitness room, but the hotel is superb.
