A suprize of a hotel! A review of Elite Hotel
My husband(29) and I(28) went to Prague 16th-19th January and had searched the internet far and wide to get the best deal. This hotel had some good rates out of season and even beat prices of 2 star hotels. I was a little concerned when looking at photos of the hotel in that they seemed a bit tacky and impersonal. The photos of this place didnt do it justice, the rooms are very spacious, clean and well serviced and there is excellent heating and air conditioning. There is still the orginal paintings on the beams of the ceiling and it was tastfully and beautifully decorated...trust me Im an art teacher.
I was really impressed by the friendly helpful staff who spoke good english. Breakfast sported a wide choice of food ...fruit, rolls, cakes, cold meats, bacon, cheese, jams, scrambled egg, cofee and a range of teas (including herbal). You help yourself to the food. This is all eaten in the cafe attached to the bar which is really cool...it has vaulted ceilings and contemporary photos on the wall...not a tacky thing in sight. At night they serve drinks and a very wide range of food. My husband and I went in at 11:00 and ate ice cream before we decide to go back to our room!
It is situated just out of the old town, but this isnt a disadvantage as there are many cheap bars and restaurants to take advantage of and the walk into old town is only 5 mins. I would recommend this place to anyone.
