A Spot for a Family Gathering A review of Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel
My uncle reserved a block of rooms for out of town guests attending my cousin's wedding. Unfortunately our rooms were not together. We were all on different floors which made the visiting we wanted to do problematic, especially the night the elevator broke.
We wished the lobby had more seating as we spent time there visiting and waiting for each other.
Housekeeping was uneven, my room was fine, but one relative had a stack of clean bedding left on her unmade bed.
Hotel provided in room coffee maker, and a small refrigerator on request for one relative who needed it for her medication.
Valet parking only for an extra charge and often an extra wait.
No airport shuttle.
Warning, on weekends there are no restaurants open downtown within easy walking distance. The hotel eating is adequate, but not for 3 meals a day.
The hotel was adequate for this purpose, but I would not make an effort to stay there again.
