A slice of heaven A review of Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort & Villas
I am reluctant to write this review as I am feeling a bit selfish in not wanting to share this paradise. I arrived with my family and was promptly and smilingly greeted upon arrival. A tour of the resort was conducted by Wendy, a most competent and delightful manager. One of the first things I noticed was the breathtaking color of the pristine beaches and the clarity of water. (The ocean floor was clearly visible in 80 feet of water) I felt that I was living in a postcard. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well air conditioned. The staff was friendly and courteous.
Having two teen age kids, I was surprised how entertained the children were without having television, playstations, internet, and places to shop. Fishing, snorkeling, and diving were all readily available. The fishing guide, Bert, was quite skilled and most entertaining. The food was good and the kitchen was most eager to prepare the fish we had caught earlier in the day. We had enough fish to feed a party of 12 and the taste was uncommonly delicious.
We usually try to pick out destinations that we havent experienced yet. However, we have not been home 3 days and we are already planning our next visit to Cape Santa Maria. I have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend this resort to any couple or family.
